Flyer’s Schenn Out With Broken Foot

The Philadelphia Flyers GM, Paul Holmgren, announced that Brayden Schenn broke his left foot in Wednesday’s game loss against the Canadiens and will miss four to six weeks.

Holmgren also announced the team has recalled forward Zac Rinaldo and defenceman Erik Gustafsson from their AHL affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.

This is awful news for Brayden Schenn and the Flyers.  Schenn had just finished serving time in the AHL that allowed Sean Courturier to stay for the season.  He came over to the Flyers in the Mike Richards trade and has tremendous talent and potential.  This is an even bigger loss for the Flyers as they also lost their captain to an eye injury the game before.  The Flyers will have to come together as a team and play tremendous without two impact players.

More to Come..
